Creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment is at the heart of everything we do at Island Kiddie Kampus. From classroom supervision to daily communication with families, our policies are designed to protect every child while keeping parents informed and connected throughout the day.
Classroom Safety
Our classrooms are carefully monitored and structured to provide a safe, positive learning environment where children can thrive.
- Video Monitoring: Security cameras are located in every classroom and throughout the outdoor playground. Camera footage is monitored by the office to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Daily Classroom Expectations: Teachers review classroom rules and age-appropriate behavioral expectations with children each day, helping them learn respect, responsibility, and positive social skills.
- Safe Release Procedures: Children are released only to parents or individuals who have been authorized for pick-up.
Authorized Pick-Up Procedures
To ensure every child’s safety, we ask families to follow these important guidelines:
- Parents must notify the center in advance if someone other than a parent or guardian will be picking up their child.
- Individuals picking up a child must be listed as an authorized pick-up contact.
- Staff will request a valid government-issued photo ID from anyone they do not recognize before releasing a child.
Family Communication
Island Kiddie Kampus partners with families through Brightwheel, our secure childcare communication platform.
Using Brightwheel, families can:
- Receive updates, photos, and messages throughout the day.
- View check-in and check-out information.
- Communicate directly with teachers and office staff.
- Stay informed about classroom activities, announcements, and important reminders.
Our goal is to provide families with peace of mind by maintaining open communication while ensuring every child enjoys a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
